More good news! (what else is there?)

Just spoke with Sarah and we have some great news about Brian.

(They have not seen the doctor yet today, but when they do, we will post another update.)

They took him off of the anaesthetic again this morning for several hours and his reactions were great. He is very calm and relaxed, which is a huge blessing. Doctors worry about patients with similar injuries coming out of anaesthetic feeling stressed and anxious, but Brian's good ol' calm nature is doing him awesome favors and he's handling it amazingly well. He recognizes Sarah's voice and responds (just as he always does) to Rowan's name.

They also tried another little test today (one more miracle) by taking him off the ventilator to see how he breathes on his own. As you might have guessed, he breathes just fine on his own! This is also totally knock-us-out-amazing news. The nurse commented on his "Colorado lungs" and how well he's doing. They did put him back on the ventilator and back under the anaesthetic so he could continue resting for the afternoon.

Tomorrow (at 3:30pm), they will return the bone flap that was previously removed, which is a fairly minor "in and out" procedure. His cranial pressure is still low - a 2/3 - amazing!

Sarah just asked that we keep the prayers coming and said that she'll be calling soon with the next round of good news from the doctor.

Hopefully, you're all smiling from ear to ear right now. I certainly am.
