It seems appropriate to take a minute to tell all of you how much your love and support means to Brian, Sarah and the family. It is only through the amazing daily support of Sarah, Marge and Jim that Brian is doing so well, and it is through the prayers, encouragement and support of all of you that the entire family is thriving during this time. I have never felt as confident as I do now that the chain-affect of love and support is working at its best. You give the good vibes (from all over the world) to Sarah and the family, they pass it on to Brian, he takes some for himself and passes the rest to the staff, who passes it right back, and the cycle of goodness continues – an incredible cycle.
When Brian heard about all of the “behind the scenes” love that is headed towards him, he was moved to tears more than once. When he heard that family and friends from all over were pulling for him, praying for him, sending cards, offering donations, and giving love and care he was just blown away – at times he was speechless and a tear-filled “thank you” was all he said. I’m sure when he is able, he will (little by little) be able to tell all of you himself, but in the meantime, just know that it is all making its way to Brian and Sarah and not one single kind act is going unnoticed.
On that same note, a tremendous thanks goes out to the staff at the Kootenai Falls Medical Center. The amount of love and the extent of care that Brian is receiving are simply unheard of – above and beyond the call of duty. Staff members have offered up their homes for the family to stay in, they have invited Sarah and Brian’s parents over for dinners, nurses and physical therapists are stopping in on their days off to check in on Brian...I could go on. They are graceful, humorous and loving towards he and the family all of the time and it has truly made the experience enjoyable when it could easily have been unbearable. They have provided Brian and Sarah with a home away from home. They deserve so much thanks and appreciation as well—more than anyone will be able to give them.
And finally, to those of you who have so graciously offered up your personal resources (finances as well as unconditional and continual support) – thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone.
