Well, obviously, I haven't been a very good blogger. However, I wanted to share with you all that today (October 9, 2009) is opening day at Arapahoe Basin. We all went skiing. Brian's brother Jeff came up for the day, Rowan packed her lunch and hung out in the lodge, and the Connellys made our turns and had the best day ever! This will be my last post. I want to thank you all again for such incredible support for our family. You all have been a huge part of this healing process and we could have never gotten through it without you! Pray for snow!!
Love,
Brian, Sarah & Rowan Connelly

As I sit here with tears of joy... I just want to say thank you to all the friends both old and new, who sent love, prayers and support for the Connelly (& Plath) family this year. Sarah, Brian, Rowan... I love you! And I love Jeff for being on the first ski run today!

Dear Brian, Sarah & Rowan,
ReplyDeleteWe have never seen a picture that made us happier or brought so many tears to our eyes. Blessing to all three of you. Looking forward to taking a run down the hill with you sometime this winter.
Love,
Ron & Sandy Seacord
I'm so happy for all of you. The picture of Brian in his ski gear almost brought me to tears. I'm so happy that he is able to ski again. I never had any doubt that he would. Thank you for all of the updates.

By the way...Brian may not remember me but I was the nursing student on the neuro unit when he was there at Kootenai. He would tell me how much he missed drinking with his buddies along with other stories, and when I told him it was time for me to go home he would say "ok, go home and have a drink for me." I just wanted to let you know after seeing this wonderful picture that I just had to toast him. I will always remember Brian and your family. Have fun on the mountains!
ReplyDeleteKim, we will always remember and thank you!
